According to the 2020 studies commissioned by the EU, entrepreneurship is a key driver of innovation and growth across society. Despite a generally increasing number of citizens willing to launch their own businesses, women remain underrepresented and underfunded in this field due to unequal conditions and existing social norms.
Keeping in mind that economies with a high share of female entrepreneurship are more resilient to financial crises, more and more public and private initiatives are being developed to support and expand women’s entrepreneurship around the world.
Project partners ACEEU have selected two initiatives for female entrepreneurs, which you can apply for straightaway:
Vital Voices (VV) GROW Fellowship
The VV GROW Fellowship, which has built a network of 20,000 changemakers across 184 countries, works to support leaders within the business, ensuring that women are supported from the inside out. This is a 10-month virtual program that fosters growth and skills advancement in strategic planning, financial management, marketing, sales, leadership, human resources, communications and many other fields to support participants in creating a holistic, sustainable foundation.
